Format: Six player round robins (as numbers allow), with sections determined by approximate skill level. Five games per player at a 10+5 time control (10 minutes plus 5-second increment). Lower sections may not be required to play with a clock, however a clock may be added with 5 minutes per player if, at the director’s discretion, the game is falling behind after 15 minutes of play.

Open to players age 18 and under. Capacity is 36 players.

Entry Fee: If pre-registered by 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th, $20 for St. Albert Chess Club members and $30 for non-members. You may withdraw with a full refund up to the pre-registration deadline.
If paying cash on-site, $25 for St. Albert Chess Club members and $35 for non-members.
$10 discount for siblings.

Prizes: Medals will be awarded to top finishers in each section.

Registration: Fill out the form below. We will contact you to confirm your registration, after which we will ask you to e-transfer to info@stalbertchessclub.ca.

You must check in at the club by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday to be included in a formal section. Rounds follow one after the other. Players are guaranteed a minimum 5-minute break between games. ‘Clock move’ is in effect – a move is final once the clock is pressed.
