Format: 9-round swiss tournament (as numbers allow) at a 3+2 time control (3 minutes plus 2-second increment). Capacity is 40 players.

Entry Fee: $30. $10 discount for immediate family members.

Prizes: Entry fees less $10 per entry. First prize $150 plus free 1-month membership to the St. Albert Chess Club (based on at least 20 entries). Other prizes determined by number of entries, and will include at least one class prize for lower-rated entrants.

Registration: Fill out the form below. Payment by cash on-site, or by e-transfer to info@stalbertchessclub.ca. You may withdraw with a full refund up to Friday, November 20 at 9:00 p.m.

You must check in at the club by 1:55 p.m. on Saturday to be paired for round 1. Games follow one after the other. ‘Clock move’ is in effect – a move is final once the clock is pressed.
